Beauty Tips For Starting A New Job.

Starting a new job is stressful, to say the least. You want to make a great impression, so you are on your best behavior, have a permanent smile all day long and you make sure to always look busy. Another part of executing a killer first impression is looking the part. For your first day on the job, you want to exude an aura of confidence, professionalism and a dab of fabulousness. Not sure how to go about it? Check out these five beauty tips for your first day on the job!

1. Go For Minimal Makeup

Your job (and your first day, no less) is not always the best place to rock your wild makeup looks. While some environments may be appropriate for neon cat eyes and orange lipstick, we would encourage you to refrain from them on your first day. You can’t go wrong with natural makeup: matte foundation, light brown shadow, lengthening mascara and soft peach cheeks.

2. Rock a Slight Pop of Lip Color

Although most of your face should stick to a subtle look, get your color fix by adding some pop to your pout. Try a coral lip gloss or fuchsia lip balm to give your lips a little pop or just a clear lip gloss.

3. Don’t Do Big Hair

As much as we love big hair, we encourage you to fix a nice, simple hairstyle that does not cover you face or look ridiculous in a working environment.

4. Get a Mani

Your nails say a lot about you and as much as we think people don’t notice them… they do. Show your boss how polished and put-together you are by rocking a pretty mani.  Go for natural peach or soft pink nails or try a classic red shade.

5. Smell Lovely

Don’t you want to be known as the “new girl who smells amazing”? Build that reputation by smelling like a rose garden on your first day. Go for a scent that’s subtle with floral tones and make sure not to go too strong with your fragrance, otherwise you’ll be known as the “girl with WAY too much perfume.”
